On June 22nd, 2019, six astronomical associations came together to celebrate Asteroid Day in Alicante, Spain. The event was free and open to the public and had over 250 attendees!

Each association presented a topic of their choice throughout the day. The director of the Federation of Astronomical Associations of Spain (FAAE), Victoriano Canales Cerdá, showcased a collection of 20 meteorites of different origin and held a conference on meteorites, where they come from, and why it is so important to detect them in time.

We want to thank Victoriano and the associations that participated for putting together this event!
