Presenter, moderator, and science writer, Lisa Burke has been hosting Asteroid Day LIVE since 2018. She is a seasoned broadcaster, having spent over a decade presenting live TV at Sky News, alongside other TV, film, and radio work. National and international assignments have included RTE (Ireland), BBC, Channel 4, Sky channels, and RTL (Luxembourg). Creator of RTL Today, she now hosts a weekly podcast “In Conversation with Lisa Burke”. Lisa is a science author and consultant with Dorling Kindersley since 2005. Additionally, she is a trained classical singer. Lisa is in demand as an events host and moderator across a range of topics from space to finance, politics to charity work. She is an organiser/host for TEDxLuxembourgCity and TEDxLuxmebourgCityWomen. Lisa is a board member for Angel Aid Cares helping families coping with Rare Disease. She also sits on the Cambridge University Communications Working Group. She studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge, earning a double first in chemistry.
