Julia Marín-Yaseli de la Parra studied astrophysics MSc with a postgraduate specialization of substellar and small objects, although her profile fits very well in space engineering. Currently she works at the European Space Agency, as part of the science operation ground segment division while continuing her PhD in cometary sciences. She worked for  Rosetta spacecraft and currently she is doing the scientific planning for Mars Express mission.

Her experience in space is very diverse, since she started working in Earth Observation systems, integrating hardware in cleaning rooms, belonging to ground segment image processing divisions, even flying at zero gravity for a experiment with solar sails! She is a proactive and passionate person, always interested on learning more about science and making outreach when she is able.  Her background in technology and science plus her motivation is a great mixture in any space organisation.
