Duncan Geere is an information designer and data storyteller based in Sweden. Miriam Quick is a data journalist, researcher, and author who explores novel ways of communicating data.

Duncan and Miriam are the founders of the Loud Numbers data sonification studio, and the hosts of the Loud Numbers podcast. Each episode turns a different data story into a music track – on topics ranging from climate change and insect decline to the taste of beer. They’ve worked on sonification projects for organisations like Jack Morton, LiveUnion and the Museum of London. Their award-winning work has been featured by Ableton, the UK’s Channel 4 News, and many others. Their latest podcast episode, Hold The Line, transforms Canada’s record-breaking 2023 fire season into a music track.
