This month’s ADx Global event spotlight is on Asteroides, Colisiones y Extinciones Masivas, an online event hosted on Neurona Red facebook page in collaboration lead by Emilio Zúñiga of the IAU National Outreach Coordinator of Nicaragua and Asociación de Astrónomos Aficionados de León. They also have the participation of Daniella Fernández Rosso of the astronomical observatory of Catholic University of Santiago.
The online event consisted of six 1-hour talks airing back to back and streaming on the Neurona Red facebook page. Over 20k viewers tuned in to learn about asteroids through art, painting, history and science from various professors, scientists and astronomers. Watch one of the talks here (in Spanish).
Congratulations to all those involved in hosting such a successful virtual event!
