Dr. Bothe completed his M.D. Ph.D. in applied cardiovascular physiology at the Charité—Berlin’s leading university hospital—in 2024, achieving both degrees in record time. His training included rotations in Erlangen and at the Universities of Sydney and Hobart, and he has been honored with awards from the German Aerospace Center, the German Physiological Society, and most recently the Young Investigator Award from the European Society of Hypertension. At just 27, he leads the Cardiovascular Physiology Group at the Charité and maintains a research appointment at the University of Sydney.
