Dr. Lisa Krämer Ruggiu is an FWO Postdoctoral Researcher at the Analytical, Environmental and Geo-Chemistry (AMGC) group at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Belgium. Her research focuses on the origin and evolution of the Solar System through the study of the geology and geochemistry of extraterrestrial materials, including micrometeorites, meteorites, and asteroids. She develops innovative methods to extract and analyze micrometeorites and investigates their implications for early solar system processes and planetary atmospheres. Lisa collaborates with ESA on multiple space missions, including HERA, and is actively involved in planetary defense efforts, as she specializes in the calibration of spectral instruments by studying asteroid-meteorite connections.
