Mr. Sun is a full professor of International Space University (ISU) located at Strasbourg; and the Board
member of Moon Village Association for mission and activities coordination based in Vienna.
Mr. Sun received a bachelor’s degree in mechanics Zhejiang University and a master’s degree in space
system engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics both in China. He also
studied in universities and institution in the United States, Russia and Germany.
Mr. Sun held several senior executive positions both in China and Europe. He started his career as a
space system engineer for launch vehicle design and followed as project manager of international
satellite launching service in China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology for mainly for clients from
the US. He was a founding member of China Manned Space Agency in 1993 and he had worked as
General Designer Assistant for Chinese Manned Space Program for 8 years, and he was in charge of
launcher system specification definition, system coordination and interface control among
spaceship/launch vehicle /spaceport, and conceptual study for RDV as well. After the maiden flight of
Chinese Shenzhou spaceship, he moved to Munich, Germany and worked as Managing Director of
EurasSpace GmbH, a Sino-European joint-venture to promote the cooperation in satellite industry
between China and Europe for 8 years. He founded European Office of China Aerospace Science and
Technology Corporation based in Paris in 2010, and he served as premier Chief Presentative in the
office for 7 years. He was deeply involved in most of the joint space programs such as lunar exploration,
space science, satellite navigation, telecommunication between China and Europe in last 20 years.
