Dr. Jean-Baptiste Vincent has been co-investigator on space missions to asteroids and comets since he graduated in 2010 from the Technical University of Braunschweig. He worked at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Göttingen until he joined the DLR German Aerospace Center Institute for Planetary Research in 2016 where he has led an international working group on origin and evolution of small bodies.

He was awarded ESA and NASA awards for contributions to ESA’s Rosetta and NASA’s Dawn mission, and the Young Astronomer Lectureship award from the National Central University of Taiwan in 2017. He coordinates data analysis activity in ESA’s Hera mission to asteroid Didymos and the near-environment working group in ESA’s Comet Interceptor mission to a dynamically new comet.
