The GAL Hassin Foundation participates in this world event by offering three days (27-28-29 June) with various activities.
This is the annual event where the Fondazione GAL Hassin tells about the research activities in the asteroid field accomplished to date with the Galhassin Robotic Telescope (GRT) and the results of scientific research.
Lots of curious news comes from large impact craters on our planet. Like Sherlock Holmes at a crime scene, we will go in search of clues to explain the impact of these extremely dangerous bodies for life on Earth. One part of the visit will be devoted to the history of large asteroid impacts with the possibility of touching a meteorite fragment; this will be followed by the visit in the Museum to the most significant fragments of the GAL Hassin collection. The second part of the event will be developed in the Planetarium with simulations and videos on Solar System, Minor Bodies and asteroids.
