The Colombian Asteroid Festival was born as an initiative by institutions involved in both the work of education and the dissemination of astronomy in Colombia. This proposal is framed in the date on which the astronomical event that occurred on June 30, 1908, in Tunguska, Russia, is commemorated when a comet or asteroid object burst into the atmosphere creating a large explosion, devastating an area of 2150 km2. An event that reflects how vulnerable our planet is to possible impact scenarios. With this event, which is now in its fourth edition, from the organizing committee we want on this occasion not only to continue raising awareness of the study and research of these minor bodies of the solar system but also to focus on the efforts that from the community of smaller bodies are beginning to be made to prepare for the passage of the asteroid Apophis through the Earth in the year 2029.
