Asteroid Day Haiti 2020 will be an online conference by an expert in astronomy from the Haitian Astronomical Society for our group of amateur astronomers. The large interested public is also invited.
Asteroid Day Haiti 2020 is from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on June 30, 2020, & we will discuss the role of asteroids in the formation of the solar system, the opportunities they represent as well as some risk they could induce. The planetary defense will be discussed.
We had had our last Asteroid Day Haiti event 3 years ago and it was an on-site conference https://haitiastronomie.blogspot.com/p/home.html ; we could not organize the usual conference meanwhile; and now, in 2020, we will have our second edition online because of COVID-19 pandemic.
