2020 ASE Defending Earth from Asteroids

The Association of Space Explorers celebrates Asteroid Day with an expert panel discussion on asteroids and the threats and opportunities they present to our species. NASA planetary defense experts, a veteran NASA astronaut, a Smithsonian planetary scientist, and top engineers building asteroid detecting telescopes and the first spacecraft to test asteroid deflection discuss the latest progress in defending Earth from a potential destructive impact by a rogue near-Earth object.
