Dante Lauretta is a Professor of Planetary Science in the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona. He is the Principal Investigator for the NASA OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return Mission. This blog is his forum to share experiences related to planetary exploration including the science, engineering, managerial, and political issues surrounding this topic.
Asteroid Day is a global awareness campaign where people from around the world come together to learn about asteroids, the impact hazard they may pose, and what we can do to protect our planet, families, communities, and future generations from future asteroid impacts.
