Astronomers Without Borders is an Asteroid Day partner and connects people worldwide through our universal interest in astronomy. It is the world’s largest community of astronomy enthusiasts, with participation in almost all of the world’s countries. Programs are open and accessible to people worldwide. Global Astronomy Month each April is the world’s largest annual celebration of astronomy with dozens of programs organized by Astronomers Without Borders and its many partners. We all share the same sky as embodied in Astronomers Without Borders’ motto: One People, One Sky.
Asteroid Day is a global awareness campaign where people from around the world come together to learn about asteroids, the impact hazard they may pose, and what we can do to protect our planet, families, communities, and future generations from future asteroid impacts. Asteroid Day is held each year on the anniversary of the largest impact in recent history, the 1908 Tunguska event in Siberia. Subscribe to our Mailing list
