Eric Christensen is the director of the NASA-funded Catalina Sky Survey (CSS), based at The University of Arizona in Tucson.  CSS has discovered more NEOs than any other survey, including the only two asteroids detected prior to Earth impact.  Christensen has worked on all aspects of NEO survey operations, including observing, software development, cadence optimization, telescope and instrument maintenance and collimation, survey modeling and optimization, and project management.  Additionally, he spent 5 years as part of the Gemini South science operations team in Chile, where he also spent significant time surveying for the remnants of NEOs (meteorites) in the Atacama Desert.
